Урок английского языка в 11 классе по теме «TV or not TV».
 
Учитель английского языка высшей квалификационной категории МОУ «Лицей №1» О.Н. Позмогова
 
Цель урока: Активизация имеющихся у учащихся знаний по теме «Телевидение». Подготовка к написанию задания С2 ЕГЭ по английскому языку.
 
1. Организационный момент.
 
2. Вступление.
 
T: Our mankind has entered the 21st century, the 3d millennium. And what was the 20th century famous for? Why was it important for us, for our history? We all consider that the 20th century was the century of dynamic development , the era of science and technological progress. It is not much of exaggeration to say that we live in the world that materially and intellectually has been created by science. This point of view is easy to illustrate on the material level. One nearly needs to mention the automobile, the airplane, the radio, the telephone and, of course, the television. It is difficult to imagine an ordinary day of an ordinary inhabitant of our Earth without this wonder of technique. Television gives us opportunity to watch the world, to get fresh first-hand information. It is both a pleasant companion and a real member of a family. It makes people’s lives more comfortable. But unfortunately we go much more seldom to the theatres or museums, pay visits to each other.
So today’s topic is “TV or not TV” (Cлайд1).

T: Do such situations happen in your family?
(Students give their answers)
 
4. Активизация лексики по теме.
T: There are a lot of programmes on TV. Now guess the kind of a TV programme. (Слайд 2).
 
-         A programme that is broadcast several times a day which tells you about all the important events (the news).
-         A film story for children made by photographing a series of drawings that they seem to move (cartoons).
-         A TV story about a group of people and their lives which is broadcast regularly for many years (soap opera).
-         A situation comedy, a popular form of humorous TV or radio show typically having a number of standard characters who appear in different stories every week (sitcom).
-         A programme that gives you facts and information about a serious subject such as history, science or social problems (documentary).
 
T: Tell me please which of these programmes do you like?
(Students give their answers)
 
5. Развитие навыков аудирования.
 
T: Look at the TV programmes on page 70. What are their types?
 
(Students give their answers)
 
T: Let’s listen to the members of a family. While listening fill in the table and say what programme they have chosen.
 
(Students listen to the record and fill in the table)
 
6. Развитие навыков устной речи.
T: It is a well known fact that TV is a perfect way to spend free time. Your home task was to read the text on pages 74-75 and to answer the questions.
 
1)      What’s Jake’s point of view on TV violence?
2)      What facts does he use to prove his opinion?
3)      Do you think violence on TV should be forbidden? Who should be responsible for it?
 
(Students give their answers)
 
T; Watching TV, you know, is the perfect way to spend our free time. Do you agree? Or you don’t?
It is a well known fact that TV has good and bad points. Let’s fill in the table on the blackboard and in your papers about its good and bad sides.

Possible answers.
-         It keeps people informed.
-         Advertisement on TV gives us information about different products.
-         It takes a lot of time.
-         It makes us lazy.
-         It’s harmful for eyes.
-         It makes people violent.
-         It takes all free time.
-         Many people become TV addicted.
 
7. Формирование навыков письма в формате ЕГЭ (задание С2).
 
Задание: “Watching TV is the perfect way to spend our free time. However some people say that it has disadvantages as well.”
 
Учащиеся повторяют правила написания сочинения-выражения собственного мнения, делятся на группы за и против ТВ. В группах пишут 1 абзац сочинения.
 
8. Домашнее задание.
Дописать сочинение.
 
9. Подведение итогов урока.
