Цели:

Практическая: к концу урока студенты должны быть готовы к составлению диалога по теме “Education”.

Образовательные:

- продолжить работу  над совершенствованием умений говорения (монологического и диалогического);

- работать над развитием умений аудирования;

- организовать работу по актуализации лексических, грамматических навыков;

- способствовать развитию общего и филологического кругозора;

Развивающие:

- создавать благоприятные условия для развития познавательных психических процессов: мышления, внимания, памяти, воображения, языковой догадки;

- учить использовать усвоенный материал в новых ситуациях общения;

- способствовать повышению мотивации и интереса к изучению иностранного языка;

Воспитательные:

- воспитывать уважительное отношение к культуре страны изучаемого языка;

- воспитывать культуру общения, толерантность по отношению друг к другу;

 Оборудование:

a)    дидактический материал:

- карточки для выполнения задания на аудирование;

- карточки с заданием на сопоставление;

- карточки с таблицей для работы с диалогом;

b) ТСО: интерактивная доска SmartBoard; магнитофон, телевизор, видеомагнитофон.

Тип урока: урок систематизации и обобщения.

Ход урока.

I. 1. Приветствие. Организационный момент.

Good morning! I’m glad to see you. How are you? Are you in a good mood? We have some guests today, so let’s start. S1, begin our lesson, please.

Thank you. Take your seat.

2. Знакомство с темой и планом урока.

Now look at the board. What is there in the photos? Mind your intonation. (Введение в тему).

What are we going to talk about at our lesson? Mind the intonation of enumeration. Thank you.

And what is the topic of our lesson? That’s right.

Here is our plan. (На слайде). Your home task will be to make up a dialogue about education.

I. 1.Контроль домашнего задания (фонетическая зарядка).

Let’s first work at our intonation and pronunciation. Your home task was to prepare an exercise for good reading. Let’s revise the pronunciation of some words. Repeat after me. (слова со звуком [ei]: haste, pains, waste, straight, straight away, mainly, blame)

Now listen and repeat after the speaker. (упражнение из фонетического практикума Б.Я. Лебединской)

Let’s check it. (Корректировка ошибок и выставление оценок).

2. Развитие умений говорения.

By the way do you remember your English lessons at school? How often did you have English at school? For example I had English 5 times a week.

It was quite different. Let’s do another task and see what else was different or the same in your school days.

First let’s read the word combinations altogether.

Do the task. You have two minutes. 

Let’s check it.

Now let’s read the task under the pictures. You have about 3 minutes. Then each group will share the results with the class. Everyone should say something. For example: No one was punished at school. All of us got good marks.

Let’s start.

We can say that though you went to different schools some thing were the same.

3. Контроль умения задавать и отвечать на вопросы разного вида.

You all went to school in Russia

. Besides your home task was to retell a text about the system of education of our country. But let’s imagine we are foreigners and know nothing. Two of you will be experts; the rest will ask questions. You must ask different questions. What kinds of questions do you know? (называют типы вопросов)Good. 

Look at the blackboard. Let’s revise the intonation of these questions. Repeat after me. (вопросы на слайде) 

Let’s also revise some words. Repeat after me: compulsory, primary, secondary, certificate, gymnasiums, lyceums, technical.

You all have 3 minutes to get ready. Let’s begin. (две студентки отвечают на вопросы одногруппников)

Well done girls, thank you. You can ask and answer questions very well and your intonation was correct. 

4. Развитие умений аудирования.

I see you know a lot about our system of education but what do you know about British educational system?

We’ll watch a film about it. But first let’s take some new words. Look at the board. Repeat after me. (слова на слайде)

While watching the film you are to do a task: this row about primary education, and this – about secondary. Look through the tasks. Is everything clear? Let’s watch.

Контроль понимания.

Here’s the key, work in groups to check. Are there any mistakes?  

Now your task is to get ready to tell the other group about your kind of education and to make 3 questions for them. You have 3 minutes. Lets start.

5. Физминутка.  

6. Обсуждение. You said that English students had to wear uniforms. Look at the board. Here are some reasons they give in favour of uniform. Let’s read the reasons.

And what is your attitude? Do you want or not to wear uniforms? Think it over, you have 2 minutes.

Now you also know smth about primary and secondary education in GB.

7. Развитие умений диалогической речи.

We’ve talked about school days, about Russian and British systems of education, uniforms, but we haven’t said a word about teachers. There are different teachers: some are kind, others are strict, some are patient others aren’t. Look at the board. You can see good and characteristics of teachers but they are mixed. First let’s read them altogether.

Your task is to put good qualities under the plus and bad ones under the minus. Is the task clear? Good job! 

Now girls you’ll hear a dialogue between 2 people discussing their teachers from the past. While listening fill in the table.  

Look at the board and check yourselves. Now get ready to tell about each teacher.

Your task is to make up your own mini dialogues about teachers from your past or present. You can discuss the following questions. Look at the board.

Use the words and word combinations from the table (плюсы и минусы). Mind your intonation. I give you about 5 minutes, so be quick.

 Let’s listen. After you listen to each dialogue be ready to tell what expressions the girls have used.

All the dialogues were great. You spoke with good intonation and didn’t make мany mistakes.

III. Подведение итогов. Домашнее задание.

Thank you very much for your work girls. Tell me, what have we done today? Did you learn anything new?

You did a very good job today. All of you get excellent marks.

And your home task is to make up a dialogue between a Russian and an English student discussing their schools, uniforms and teachers. The lesson is over, good-bye!
