Ход урока

1.     Организационный момент

Good morning boys and girls! I’m very glad to see you! How are you today?

So, we’ve finished Unit 7 which is called “living together” and today we are going to revise this theme.

2.     Совершенствование навыков устной монологической речи

In each family every member of the family has his own responsibilities. Your parents and you have responsibilities in your families. Now let’s imagine that you are parents and you should make a list of responsibilities and you should choose some of them for your children. Look at the active board

Example: to help parent to cook – children must help parents to cook

To help parents with washing up

To set the table

To go to the cinema everyday

To make their beds

To eat a lot of sweets

To clear up the table after dinner

To help parents in the garden

To watch TV all the day

To listen to loud music

To take out the rubbish

Один из учеников выполняет задание на доске, зачеркивая ненужные слова

Учитель организует проверку  этого задания, опрашивая 2 учеников, потом выводит одного из учеников к доске и просит, не глядя на доску, рассказать об обязанностях детей.

By the way I have a friend in Britain, her name is Emily and she has sent me this letter. She wrote me about British food. I want to read it to you.  Listen to it very attentively.

Hello my dear friend!

I’ m very glad to hear from you again. In your last letter you asked me about British food, what British people like to eat and what they don’t like. So I write to you to answer your questions.

Traditionally English people have three meals a day: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Traditional English breakfast is a large meal with bacon, eggs, sausages, cereal, toasts, juice and yogurt with a cup of tea or coffee.

Lunch is a light meal. Most people have no time to go back home for lunch so they eat at school, cafes or restaurants. A lot of people in England eat sandwiches for their lunch. There are a lot of sandwich shops in London. You can buy meat sandwiches, or salad sandwiches, cheese, egg, and fish or even fruit sandwiches. Each sandwich has two thin slices of bread. You put butter and meat between the two slices.

The main meal is dinner. A typical evening meal is a meat dish with vegetables and dessert.

I would like to add that British people have a sweet tooth. That means they like eating sweet things like puddings and pies, jams, biscuits and buns, cakes and rolls. For the British, any time is a time to eat sweets: tea break at work, break at school, watching TV at home, on a car journey, in the cinema or theatre. They eat even more sweet things during holidays like Christmas, Easter or Valentine’s Day.

I hope this information will be useful for you. I know that Russian people like cabbage soup. Can you write me a recipe of cabbage soup? I want to cook it for my parents. So I’ looking forward to your answer.

 Now let’s imagine that Emily received our letter and she makes cabbage soup. Учитель вызывает одного из учеников читать письмо, а другого, используя картинки на интерактивной доске следовать инструкциям рецепта и приготовить суп.

6.   Активизация навыков устной монологической речи по теме «Дом»

 

So we hope that Emily will make a very tasty cabbage soup. She has sent me a picture of her house with the letter. Let’s look at it. What kind of house is it? What kinds of houses do you know?

What kind of room is it? Is it a living room, a kitchen or a bedroom? Right you are. It’s a bedroom. It’s Emily’s bedroom. What can you see here? Let’s describe this room using there is/ there are.

7.     Домашнее задание

Make a project of one of the room

8.     Итоги

What have we done today? We spoke about our responsibilities and our parents’ responsibilities, we learnt some information about English food and now we know how to make cabbage soup. And at last we described Emily’s room
