<p>Урок разработан для учащихся 5 класса УМК Биболетовой М. З. Урок открытия нового знания в рамках системно &ndash; деятельностного подхода. Урок обучения письменной речи. На уроке учащиеся учатся писать письмо &ndash; приглашение.. По степени новизны материала - комбинирование нового с ранее изученным.</p> <p>Формируемые УУД: коммуникативные, регулятивные, познавательные, личностные.</p>

Ход урока.

  1. Организационный момент.

(1. Мотивация к учебной деятельности.)

  • Good morning, boys and girls! I am glad to see you. Today we shall read, speak as usual. We shall also write. What about? You`ll tell me yourselves a bit later.

  3. Answer my questions:

Do you like holidays? I do not mean school holidays.

What English holidays do you know? (Christmas, New Year, Easter, Mothers` day, Halloween, St. Valentine`s day, All fools’ day)

What is your favourite Russian holiday? (New Year)

What holiday do most people like? (Birthday)

Do you have your birthday party every year?

Where do you celebrate your birthday party? (At home or at a café)

(2. Актуализация знаний и фиксация затруднений в деятельности)

  • How do you invite your friends to your party? (I phone them)

And how can you invite your friend who lives in another town? (I can write a letter)

What is the name of such a letter? (A letter of invitation)

Do you know how to write it? (No)

What are we going to write? (A letter of invitation)

Open your copy - books and write down the topic of the lesson. (3 слайд) 

So, we’ll learn to write an invitation letter today.

  • What do you need to know? (What to write in each paragraph)
  • Read the letter again and answer the questions.
    1). Who is the letter from? (Eddy)
    2). Who is the letter to? (Wendy)
    3). What is the letter about? (An invitation to a party)
    4). Which paragraphs are about Eddy's plans for the party? (Paragraphs 2, 3)
    5). Which tense is used? (To be going to)
    6). How does Eddy end the letter? (Love and his name)
    7). Which of the following can you use to replace "Love"?
     • Yours.... • Best wishes.... • Yours faithfully....    • Lots of love....

Text:

Fancy dress parties became popular in the days of Queen Victoria. They are popular in Great Britain now, too. People go to fancy dress parties wearing masks and costumes. Usually a fancy dress party has a theme. Themes may be different, e.g. Halloween, Easter, Christmas, Cats, Harry Potter, Animals etc.

  • Answer the question. (It is a party where people wear masks and costumes)
  • Listen once again and answer the questions:

1. When did Fancy dress parties become popular in Great Britain? (In the days of Queen Victoria.)

2. What does a fancy dress party have? (A theme)

      My mum is going to make sandwiches. We're going to play games and dance until 8 o'clock. We are also going to have a Best Costume competition . The winner is going to win a great prize. My sister is going to buy presents for guests.
      My dad is going to decorate the house with lots of colourful balloons. Guests are going to dress up as animals.
     Well, I hope you can come to my party. Hope to see you then.

Use the plan to write a letter to your friend, inviting him/her to your Christmas party (100-120 words). Use Eddy’s letter and your letters as a model. (11 слайд)
