An Englishman’s home is his castle
Цели урока: активизация навыков аудирования, совершенствование навыков чтения, монологической и диалогической устной речи, тренировка навыков выразительного чтения стихотворения.
Задачи урока:
Обучающая: учить на слух понимать информацию, передаваемую с помощью несложного текста; совершенствовать умение выразительно читать вслух.
Развивающая: формировать логическое мышление учащихся в процессе обучения монологической и диалогической речи.
Воспитывающая: приобщить учащихся к общечеловеческим ценностям, сформировать уважение к своему родному дому.
Оборудование: магнитофон, аудиокассета, мяч, компьютер, интерактивная доска, предметные картинки, раздаточный материал.

T. I’m OK, thank you. Today we’ll discuss English houses and decide if an Englishman’s home is his castle.

Today we shall discuss English houses and decide if an Englishman’s home is his castle. I want you to listen to the dialogue and find out where the man lives.

P.1. I think Mr.Philpott lives in a detached house. It is very nice house. There are many rooms in it. He has a garden.
P.2. To my mind Mr.Philpott lives in a semi-detached house. It’s quite a big house. 2 families live in this house. They have a garage too.
P.3. Mr.Philpott lives in a terraced house. It is not far from the centre of London. This house is very pretty.
P.4. I think Mr. Philpott lives in a block of flats. It’s very tall. Mr.Philpott has a kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom. Hehasn’tgotagarageandacar.

- Yes, we have a garden at the back and a small garden at the front.
- What kind of neighbourhood is it?
- It’s an area with lots of similar houses. Our neighbours are very kind people.
- I would like to live in a place like that!
